We don't have to tell you that the first half of this school year has been like no other! We've all had to adjust to very different versions of the "new normal." But we find comfort in knowing that we are tackling this TOGETHER, as a community. We are proud of all the members of our Burke family who continue to approach this year with strength, purpose, and care, and to seek joy and laughter in every challenging moment. Whether we are near or far, we know things are better when we're TOGETHER.
This month, as we reflect back on 2020, the moments that stick out at us are moments of glee as we spent time outside with our Burke friends 6 ft apart, laughter as we learned and gathered together on Zoom, and overwhelming gratitude for the kindness and gratitude shown by our families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.
As we prepare for 2021, we are asking our Burke family to join TOGETHER in supporting the school, our phenomenal students, and our dedicated faculty and staff with a gift to the Annual Fund. Here's why your gift this year is more important than ever:
- Our school needs to be nimble and able to respond quickly to the evolving needs of our students, teachers, programs, and operations as the climate around us continues to change. Your gift to the Annual Fund provides us with the flexibility to do that, keeping our community safe, whole, and happy as we face new challenges.
- So far this year, gifts to the Annual Fund have provided additional financial aid to our families, advanced technology and faculty professional development to elevate our virtual and HyFlex learning, and physical preparations for the return to campus. These dollars are critical.
What else can I do to help?
Spread the word! Ask your Burke classmates, peers, and friends to join you in standing TOGETHER in supporting the school, our phenomenal students, and our dedicated faculty and staff. Click here to learn more and get started.

What a Day to Celebrate!
Earlier today, we reached our original 100 donor goal, securing a generous $15,000 challenge grant from Kira Swencki and Mike Mihalke P'22. Now, we are delighted to officially report that TOGETHER we have reached our second milestone goal of the day, exceeding 150 total donors and securing an additional generous challenge grant from Board President Sharon Davis and Jeff Davis P'19!
It's Not Over Yet!
We are so very grateful to all those who have already stepped up today to make a gift to the Annual Fund during Burke's Day of Giving. If you've not yet had an opportunity to do so, there's still plenty of time, and we need your participation to meet several exciting challenges from members of our community!
