About

A gift to Student Life and Enrollment directly supports student success.  We engage students from application to the first day of class, from the first-year experience to graduation, and beyond. Our team impacts 100% of the ETSU student population. Below are some of the ways we use donated funds.

Support a student in need - gifts to causes such as the Buccaneer Student Crisis Fund, Bucky's Food Pantry, the Counseling Center, and Buc$ for Books ensure our students have a helping hand in times of need.  With this support, they can focus on their education and not the crisis they may be facing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Buccaneer Student Crisis Fund has awarded over $106,000 to over 200 students since May 2020.

Support diversity, equity, and inclusion - gifts to the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center, Dr. Patricia Robertson Pride Center, The Michael L Young/Langston Education and Arts Development Scholarship, and International Student Scholarship provide support for programming to create an environment that supports and sustains the affirmation, celebration, and understanding of human differences and similarities. When you make a gift to the Michael L. Young/Langston Education and Arts Development Scholarship for ETSU Day of Giving your gift will be doubled up to $10,000 through a matching gift from an anonymous donor.

Support student’s leadership development gifts to Residence Life and Leadership, New Student and Family Programs, Leadership and Civic Engagement, and the Greek Life Education Fund support extracurricular experiences that provide opportunities for students to improve their leadership skills. Students plan educational programs, fun events, and create affirming environments for their peers.

From Veteran's Affairs to Disability Services, there are many areas to support under the Student Life and Enrollment umbrella.  If you have questions regarding a specific area to support, please reach out to Dessi Ford at 423-439-5125 or forddk@etsu.edu.
