Center for Global Sport Leadership

This campaign ends on September 15 at 05:00PM EDT

The Center for Global Sport Leadership is designed to provide consulting services, networking opportunities, and educational programming for sport practitioners and sport organizations.  Under the direction of Dr. Richard Sander, The Center for Global Sport Leadership connects future leaders with current leaders in the field of sport to develop relationships and exchange stories.  This is accomplished through programs such as Top Connect, Lunch with Doc, and From the Locker Room.  These educational opportunities empower young professionals through real-world examples of success and failure.

Dr. Sander’s 40+ years in sport provided the foundation to create the Global Sport Leadership program.  This cohort-based doctoral program is designed for the working sport practitioner to develop the next generation sport leader.  Students are exposed to both the internal and external operations of a sport organization along with the opportunity to apply their knowledge through study abroad field experiences.

Dr. Sander’s impact on the world of sport can be seen throughout intercollegiate athletics, but his work with professional, scholastic, and international sport is just as significant. His selfless pursuit of improving those around him, defines the purpose of the Center for Global Sport Leadership.  All donations support the mission: Connect, Prepare, Lead.
