The Harriette Hirsch Sisterhood Fund

This campaign ends on April 20 at 10:41AM EDT

At the 1966 convention in Detroit, Michigan, and in honor of DPhiE's golden anniversary, the membership voted to found the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation, to serve our sisters with educational scholarships.  Throughout the 1980’s and early 1990’s, the Foundation grew with the loyal support of its members. One such member was past International President Harriette Hirsch, whose benevolent gifts shaped a new and wider course for the Foundation. It grew to be more responsive to all needs, with the vision of helping sisters “heart-to-heart” and “hand-to hand.” Harriette saw that the needs of DPhiE members sometimes exceeded beyond education, with circumstances leaving sisters needing urgent financial help. To this sentiment, Paul Hirsch, Harriette’s husband, helped establish The Harriette Hirsch Sisterhood Fund in her honor in 1994. At its creation, Paul said it was in honor of her personal credo, “sisters helping sisters."
