Student Spike Grants

By Sherry Malushizky

This campaign ended on December 05, 2015, but you can still make a gift to Davidson College by clicking here!

In 2015, a Spike Grant allowed Stewy Robertson '15 to transform the look of the Alvarez College Union with the mural seen above.

Spike Grants support student-driven, student-led, student-performed art on campus. The grant program, as developed by Davidson Friends of the Arts, encourages extracurricular student art on campus. Your support of these grants affirms the importance of creativity and artistic innovation on campus.

Grants are open to all students and support creative extracurricular efforts. This funding encourages collaboration and the exploration of artistic mediums including theatre, film, music, dance, visual art, spoken word and creative writing. Through the successful fundraising of $9,000, we will be able to fund six student Spike Grants in the coming year.

Your support of this project will enable Davidson students the opportunity to pursue their creative passions and share their artistic talent with the community.
