In memory of Ty Rasch, we hope to raise $25,000 over the next five years to create The Ty Rasch Memorial Scholarship. Lisa and her kids have decided to direct this scholarship to an Opportunity Scholars student at the David Eccles School of Business who has lost a parent.
By creating this endowment, we hope to honor Ty and the impact he left on so many of us. As his family, friends, classmates and colleagues, we each know how generous he was to those around him. By establishing this scholarship, we are continuing his legacy of helping others.
The scholarship will begin in the 2018-2019 academic year, with initial annual funding from the David Eccles School of Business. In the event we do not reach the $25,000 minimum commitment in 5 years, we will use the funds as annual scholarships until spent. If we raise more than $25,000, all funds will remain in the endowment and allow it to provide a larger annual gift each year.
