Accounting Innovations Initiative

This campaign ended on May 01, 2022, but you can still make a gift to David Eccles School of Business by clicking here!

Together, with your help, we can create a rich environment that enhances our student skills, competencies, and talents and so they graduate ready to thrive in a constantly changing marketplace.

The last few years have brought numerous innovations to the field of Accounting with an increased focus on the role of technology in preparing and using financial data along, with significant changes to the CPA exam scheduled to roll out in 2024. In addition to changes to the profession, we are facing a nationwide decline in enrollment in undergraduate and graduate accounting programs.

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your help in developing a special fund to sustain important initiatives that will provide our students with enrichment opportunities and academic support. Resources would be used to support a variety of activities including (1) dedicated tutoring for accounting students, especially in the area of technology, (2) student clubs and activities, including the Women’s Mentoring program, student clubs like Beta Alpha Psi and the Institute of Management Accountants, and (3) faculty technology training and support.
