In May of 2024, Liz Tashjian will retire from the David Eccles School of Business and the University of Utah after over 35 years of service. Liz is known for pushing her students to the limits and holding them to high standards that have prepared them for great career and personal success after they leave the Eccles School. But far from being an intimidating figure, Liz is also known for genuinely caring about her students individually. Many former finance students name her as their favorite professor and most impactful mentor.
As Liz enters this next chapter, we want to celebrate and thank her for all she has given to the University and its students. Please join us in honoring Liz Tashjian by making a gift to a scholarship in her name. Our goal is to create an endowed scholarship fund that would award a scholarship to an engaged undergrad finance student each year with a unique financial circumstance who participates in the Student Investment Fund.
This scholarship will honor the legacy of Liz in perpetuity and give generations of future finance leaders the opportunity to study at the David Eccles School of Business.
The Liz Tashjian Endowed Scholarship will be administered by the David Eccles School of Business and will benefit undergraduate students studying finance. In the event that the minimum threshold of $25,000 needed to establish an endowment isn’t met within two years, funds will be awarded as an annual scholarship in Liz’s honor.
