For more than 30 years, Dr. Robert D. Allen, a dedicated pillar of the School of Accounting at the David Eccles School of Business, has been a guiding light for both students and colleagues. His influence has been profound, shaping lives and fostering a vibrant academic community.
During his tenure from 2005 to 2009, Dr. Allen held the esteemed position of School of Accounting Chair. His commitment to education was evident in his roles as a cherished professor in the Master of Accounting and MBA programs, and as a devoted faculty advisor for the Eccles School’s Opportunity Scholars Program. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Allen's engagement extended to the American Accounting Association, where he played an active role, as well as to leadership positions with CIT Bank and The Road Home.
As Dr. Allen embarks on a new chapter as the Dean of the Utah Valley University Woodbury School of Business, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for his invaluable contributions to the University of Utah and the School of Accounting.
In honor of Dr. Allen's legacy, we invite you to consider contributing to the Dr. Bob Allen Endowed Scholarship.
