  • Provide immediate support for students who are faced with increasing financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • Open pathways to participate in activities and leadership roles 

Student Life Initiatives 
Support services and groups to help students succeed and build a strong commun

  • Ensure Mines community is united during pandemic with virtual events and support services 
  • Offer online tutoring and advising through the Center for Academic Services and Advising
  • Provide testing services and accommodations for students with disabilities 
  • Create virtual E-Days events and other Mines Activities Council remote participation options to engage students beyond the textbook 

Continuity of learning in an online 
environment in response to COVID-19

  • Reinvent online learning through the Trefny Innovative Instruction Center
  • Work with faculty to improve pedagogy 
  • Improve digital counseling and crisis support services 

Research and Innovation 
Creative problem-solving in collaborative spaces so students can continue to dream, design and build 
to start something big

  • Bolster virtual learning simulations that mimic in-classroom or in-lab experiences 
  • Equip labs and classrooms with state-of-the-art tools and technologies so students can pick up where they left off in the fall 
  • Enhance safety precautions and sanitation measures
