Intercollegiate sports are an invaluable part of college life and the development of teenagers into adults. For our student-athletes, life skills such as setting goals, time management, cooperation and sportsmanship are qualities that are enhanced through participating in organized team sports – prized qualities that will serve them well as they pursue higher degrees and enter the workforce. Above all, athletics delivers the fundamental lesson of “Goals worth achieving will be attained only through preparation, hard work, and dedication.” After graduating college, many of our athletes become the future leaders in our community.
Now we need your help! Our athletes are full-time students who hold part-time jobs and spend 20 or more hours a week at practice or in games during the season, therefore, the women's basketball team must fundraise. CSM covers the cost of the NJCAA games, but does not cover the cost of competitions outside of the normal collegiate schedule. Playing in out-of-area games, scrimmages and tournaments help improve our competitiveness by exposing our players to higher levels of play and recruiters from four-year institutions.
Funds are needed for:
- Additional travel for games outside its normal conference schedule
- Travel Gear (backpacks, shooting shirts and associated gear, etc.)
- Scrimmage Gear
Don't forget - All donations are 100% tax deductible.
