Why support this campaign?

The LaTour Eichenwald Forum on Health Informatics and Information Management Leadership and Innovation began as a way to welcome healthcare leaders to the College to share their insights and experiences regarding the paths that have led us to where we are today as a profession, college and community.  The forum’s namesakes are Kathy LaTour and Shirley Eichenwald Maki, HIM leaders who spent their CSS careers advancing the profession of Health Information Management through education, as well as professional leadership, research, and collaboration.  The forum was established after they both retired in 2012 to honor their pioneering spirits.

Funds raised on Give to CSS Day for the LaTour Eichenwald Forum will support improved programming.  Forum organizers will expand the diversity and expertise of presenters and increase the reach of the forum in the health informatics and health information management fields. Not only do students and alumni benefit from the continued learning and education, but professionals in the field also attend.  Innovative and engaging content will give attendees reasons to return each year.
