Step forward to champion environmental education at CCC. Your backing equips students to become eco-conscious leaders, driving positive change for our planet, community, and economy. You can support students and staff by making a gift to the following funds:
- Arboriculture Fund - This fund is used for expenses related to the Arboriculture program and its operating costs to train students.
- Environmental Learning Center (ELC) - Provides much needed program support for a wide variety of uses, including: tools & equipment for K-12 and professional trainings, community engagement activities, curriculum development, staff development, special projects and student awards.
- ELC Environmental Diversity Fund - The goal of the fund is to increase accessibility to ELC programs for under-represented/under-served populations, including: offsetting feeds for individuals and groups to attend ELC education programs, and paying for expenses related to program development & training that has the specific purposes of breaking down barriers to these populations.
- ELC K-12 Scholarship Fund - Helps to break down barriers, by increasing accessibility to nature-based education programs like Field Trips, Nature Spy Explorer Kits and Camps. These programs connect kids with fun, engaging and hands-on learning opportunities that lead to a greater awareness of environmental issues which may impact them, as well as others in their communities.
- ELC Sustainability Fund - Provides ongoing support to maintain the ELC grounds and buildings, ensuring that it will remain a treasured resource for the community.
- Horticulture Fund - The Horticulture program prepares students for careers that combine art and science, as well as a balance between physical and intellectual work. This fund supports equipment purchases, staff development, curriculum development, special projects and student awards. Keep in touch with the Horticulture program on Facebook and Instagram.
- Organic Farming Endowment - to provide scholarships for Clackamas Community College students in the Organic Farming Program.
- Water and Environmental Quality Fund - Provides equipment, staff development, curriculum development, special projects, student awards, and areas of greatest need for the WET program and its students.
By contributing, you directly influence programs that nurture ecological understanding, sustainable practices, and a connection to nature. Environmental education strengthens critical thinking and fosters a generation dedicated to preserving our world.
