Fund the Flame with a gift to the Centre College Summer Health Immersion Program (SHIP)!
SHIP is a one-week summer enrichment program for incoming first-year students from Kentucky who are interested in health professions. SHIP students come to campus to get a head start on exploring their career interests in the healthcare field while also developing essential skills that will help them be successful during their first semester classes at Centre.\
“One of the things I really like about this research is that you start to do it, and you see yourself as a chemist, you see yourself as a scientist,” Associate Professor of Chemistry Daniel Scott said about SHIP 2023. “That sense of belonging, that purpose, we’ve seen it develop this week. They’re so much further along than where they thought they could be at the start of the week.”
