Why is it important to support Central Catholic?
It starts with asking questions.
What is central to a valuable education?
What is central to building a community?
What is central to our spirits, our bodies, our minds, and our
souls?
What is Central?
Central is a place where we go deeper.
Where we ask big questions and look for even bigger answers.
Where we set high expectations to develop the hearts and
minds of every student, teaching critical thinking skills and
learning strategies—because we understand that how and
why are more important than what and when.
Central is a place where we embrace our differences because
we share a common set of values anchored in faith and
love—community, compassion, academic excellence, and
integrity.
Central is a place where we instill principles essential to
the teachings of Jesus to inspire a life of virtue and
service.
A life of moral integrity and spiritual
transformation.
Central is a place where we welcome challenges.
Obstacles. Hardships.
For it is not in spite of these challenges that we succeed,
it’s because of them.
And while they are sure to be difficult, these challenges
don’t need to be met alone.
Every obstacle we face builds character, and community.
It’s what makes us who we are and defines who we will
become.
Because this is a place where we are central to each
other. This is a place where we belong.
Thank you for supporting Central Catholic High School on Giving Tuesday!
Come on Rams! Let's keep the momentum going! We've met our goal but let's see if we can top it off!
We've also had a challenge for the Class of 2012! An anonymous classmate has let us know that if the total giving for the Class of 2012 equals $1,000, they will match it with an additional $1,000.
It's not too late to make another gift!
In our final video of the day, Dena Dooney, co-founder of our Women's Wine Tour, Central Catholic board member and Class of 1988 graduate, shares about why she supports Central Catholic and about the role Central Catholic has played in forming her faith.
We are so grateful for our four generous matches from Monsignor Tim Murphy '58, the Central Catholic Board of Directors and our two humble supporters from the Classes of 1974 and 2012 who wish to remain anonymous. We are also grateful for the 120 supporters who have contributed to this campaign so far.
Remember, the 2023 Giving Tuesday: Rams Give Back campaign is for tuition assistance. In addition to this board match, all gifts will be matched by the OCF Joseph E. Weston Public Foundation. We are grateful to Mr. Weston for his many years of generous support!

The Central Catholic Board of Directors is offering a match of $7,000 for all gifts from those who are making their very first gift to Central Catholic.

446 days ago by Eleanor E DirCentral Catholic is blessed with supporters who want nothing more than to advance the mission of our school by giving back. They're humble, with absolutely no interest in being recognized or honored publicly for their generosity.
Today, for the third year in a row, we have a member of the Class of 1974 who has stepped up, anonymously, to offer a $5,000 match for all gifts made by our GOLD alumni. (GOLD alumni are graduates of the last decade, 2013 to 2023.)
If GOLD alumni come together and collectively give $5,000, their giving will unlock this match.
This graduate benefited from tuition assistance when he was a student and wants today's students to have a wonderful Central Catholic experience, just as he did.
One of his contemporaries, Phil Moran '76, also a member of our Board of Directors, reflects on the similarities, especially around service, academic excellence and community, between his Central Catholic experience, and that of his children.

446 days ago by Eleanor E DirWe are kicking off our 2023 Giving Tuesday: Rams Give Back campaign with a generous match from one of our most beloved supporters, Monsignor Tim Murphy '58.
Monsignor Murphy has been a part of the Ramily for decades, beginning long before the start of his freshmen year in 1954. If Central Catholic had a Mt. Rushmore, Monsignor Murphy would be on it. Here, in our video, he reminisces about his time at Central Catholic, the importance of giving back, the impact of support on his classmates and our current students and what Central Catholic means to him today.
Today, Monsignor Murphy will match all gifts up to $20,000.
