About

You have the power to energize CMWA today!

CMWA celebrates the diversity and achievements of women at Carnegie Mellon while building a greater sense of community life on campus by connecting and supporting members through networking opportunities, social gatherings and educational programming throughout the year. Membership in the Carnegie Mellon Women's Association (CMWA) is open to all faculty, administrators, trustees, staff, or spouses/partners and friends of faculty, administrators, trustees and staff who support the advancement of women in the university community.

The CMWA Awards began in 1964 to "honor an outstanding girl at the university." The tradition continues today and each year as the Carnegie Mellon Women’s Association Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to selected graduating senior students, with a preference for students who demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of women in their academic pursuits. Through our members’ generosity, we were able to award seven $1,500 scholarships to remarkable graduating seniors. Join us in supporting seven scholarships this year!

Giving CMU Day is your chance to illuminate the next great achievement at CMU! 💡
