About

You have the power to energize the Libraries today!

The Libraries encompasses Hunt, Sorrells, and Mellon libraries, the Posner Center and our offsite warehouse on Penn Avenue — over 60,000 square feet of public space visited by numerous students, staff, faculty and guests every day. We are home to nearly 1,000 student seats across locations and 13 collaborative group spaces that facilitate interdisciplinary learning, alongside the Maggie Murph Café and the Hunt Library Gallery. Maintaining these spaces can involve refreshing necessities like carpeting and furniture, as well as visionary renovations like the reimagining of our video collection and music listening spaces.

Your gift to Enhance Library Learning Spaces allows us to make strategic upgrades to the Libraries, keeping our spaces sharp and revitalizing essential resources to provide researchers with cutting-edge facilities that accommodate and inspire. Donations received in the past year directly supported technological upgrades to Library classrooms and equipment utilized by students, faculty and staff across campus.

Questions about giving? Contact Robin Mitchell, Chief Advancement Officer, at robinmit@andrew.cmu.edu or 412-268-4396.

Giving CMU Day is your chance to illuminate the next bright idea at the Libraries! 💡
