The Detroit and Southeast Michigan Network team will once again support Forgotten Harvest (www.ForgottenHarvest.org) by “rescuing food” at the end of the Lipari Food industry trade show.
This is a great opportunity to make a huge impact in a small amount of time while also burning a few calories. Join fellow CMU Tartans, along with 100 or so other volunteers, to gather and pack food products and samples left over from the exhibit/vendor tables and booths at the end of the show.
This is Forgotten Harvest’s largest food show rescue of the year. Volunteers will work at their own pace but must be at least 16 years of age, be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and be on their feet for the two or so hour event. We are limited to only 8 volunteer slots this year so please register early.
