We've spent the year celebrating the Carleton community members that are Behind Every Carl, but behind all these faculty, staff, coaches, mentors, peers, and campus resources are Carleton donors.
Unrestricted gifts to the Alumni Annual Fund are particularly important this year, because colleges and universities are seeing federal higher ed policies and regulations change at an alarming pace. Carleton's greatest need is flexible funding to fortify our community and to meet the needs of our campus, students, faculty, staff, and extended network without delay or undue oversight. The Alumni Annual Fund is that source of financial flexibility.
Let's help Carleton honor its commitment to students by raising the last $2.5 million by June 30!

While we're still tabulating final results, we're elated to report that Fiscal Year 2025 was one for the record books. Together, Carleton donors raised more than $11 million for the Annual Fund. In June 2025 alone, Carls raised more than $2.3 million for current and future students. That's the equivalent of...
- Full year grant aid packages for 30 students, PLUS
- Funding for 10 Curricular Innovation Grants for faculty members, PLUS
- Support for 10 summer Student Research Partners (SRPs), PLUS
- Hundreds of new print and digital materials for Gould Library, PLUS
- More than 2500 free mental and physical health counseling appointments at Student Health and Counseling (SHAC), PLUS
- New training and recovery equipment for student-athletes,
- And more!
Donors truly demonstrated that they're Behind Every Carl with gifts this fiscal year, and as a result, the College is well-positioned to support students, faculty, and staff for the coming academic year. Thank you to our donors and volunteers for being part of our collective impact. We look forward to sharing final donor and dollar numbers later this month!

Fiscal Year 2025 has officially wrapped, and we're so grateful to every member of the Carleton community who has demonstrated that they're Behind Every Carl with their giving this year. June has witnessed another impressive outpouring of support from our community—thank you!
Special thanks are owed to the AAF volunteers who worked tirelessly all month to advocate for current students and serve as ambassadors for the Annual Fund.
Remember, these are only preliminary numbers. Look for updates throughout the next few weeks as we calculate final results!

There are only 2 hours left in Carleton's fiscal year, and we're amazed at the generosity we've observed throughout the month. Thank you for helping Carleton finish out the fiscal year with momentum. How many more Carls will come together before midnight?

Reunion Convocation is always a highlight of Reunion Weekend. In addition to being a celebration of award recipients, this special Convocation is an opportunity for the Milestone Reunion programs to publicly present their gifts to the College. These Reunion classes really demonstrated what's possible when Carls "Come Together" to share their time, talent, and treasure.
Thank you to everyone who has made a gift in honor of their Reunion this year. If you haven't there's still time to celebrate your connection to Carleton with a contribution to the Alumni Annual Fund!

Carleton's new carbon-neutral townhomes on Lilac Hill are just some of the College's cutting-edge developments for environmental sustainability. Now, every member of the Carleton community is encouraged to play a role in Carleton’s Sustainable Futures Framework, which advances the College’s leadership in emissions reduction with a focus on collective action, education, and infrastructure.
Make a recurring gift a small part of your own commitment to action—it's the most environmentally friendly way to give, because you'll receive fewer print and digital reminders throughout the year. Plus, you'll provide reliable support to sustain Carleton's educational opportunities for all.

Another academic year has come to a close, and we’re eager to celebrate the Class of 2025 at Carleton’s 151st Commencement this Saturday.
While there’s some skepticism about the value, return-on-investment, and relevance of a liberal arts degree in today’s job market, the outcomes from Carleton’s recent grads dispel this myth and illustrate that Carls are well-positioned for their next steps:
- 98% are employed, volunteering, or enrolled in a graduate program within six months of graduation.
- 62% will go on to attend graduate or professional school within eight years of graduation.
- Recent Carleton grads average 43% less student loan debt than the national average—and Carleton has plans to offer more no-loan financial aid packages.
These outcomes are a testament to the generous financial aid, applied learning avenues, academic preparation, and career exploration opportunities offered at Carleton. It takes an entire community of support to provide these resources, and alumni generosity leads the way. Gifts to the Alumni Annual Fund make each of these offerings possible for current and future students!

Congrats to all the faculty members receiving Curricular Innovation Grants for Summer 2025 and Winter Break 2025. Awards support projects including major curricular revisions for departments or programs, curricular innovations, and individual or team proposals to work on specific courses.
The Alumni Annual Fund helps support these curricular innovation projects so faculty members can continue advancing their area of scholarship and current Carls can learn the very latest in each area of study.

Honors Convocation is a highlight of the academic year at Carleton and a celebration of students' scholarly accomplishments. This academic year, Carleton students were the recipients of more than 80 prizes, fellowships, honor society inductions, and awards.
In her remarks, President Alison Byerly addressed the challenges higher education is facing and complimented Carleton students' dedication to scholarship and service despite the circumstances.
“What these students share is what makes Carleton special: intellectual curiosity, energetic engagement, and commitment to the hard work of learning at a time when support for higher education, for academic research, and for the kind of diverse and vibrant community we build at Carleton are in jeopardy,” Byerly said. “It is especially valuable to have the opportunity to honor students who have excelled in a wide variety of fields, who have undertaken research or creative projects, and who have made our community stronger through their leadership and service. You represent the true promise of higher education, and the reason it’s worthy of support.”
Unrestricted support through the Alumni Annual Fund is of particular importance this fiscal year. Help bolster Carleton's financial flexibility to support students in the coming academic year with a gift by June 30!
