2018 Crane or Shine Challenge

In total, we raised $2280 for Carleton, and unlocked $5,018 for Financial Aid from the Class of 1978. 

That's the equivalent of

• Covering travel expenses for five Taste of Carleton participants AND
• Funding for two externships AND
• Chartering one tour bus for a Twin Cities field trip

Did you know the Crane built itself? Now we have the chance to build on our success with a brand-new bonus challenge. If we can get 5 more donors before the end of the challenge (midnight, crane time), we have the chance to unlock an additional $982 for Financial Aid. 

This will bring the total matching gifts for Financial Aid to $6000- that’s enough to cover six prospective students’ travel expenses for a Taste of Carleton!

The Class of 2018 has successfully unlocked $3,000 in gifts for Financial Aid, and unlocked $2,018 in matching gifts toward Financial Aid! Thank you to every classmate who has helped us reach this milestone.

The final day of the Crane or Shine Challenge is here, and we're so close to unlocking $3,000 for Financial Aid!

Thanks to your generous gifts, we have unlocked $1,435 in direct matching gifts toward Financial Aid.

Even more exciting: we're more than halfway to reaching our goal of 20 donors and unlocking an additional $3,000 for Financial Aid!

Thanks to everyone who has helped us unlock $1105 (so far!) in matching funds toward Financial Aid. These dollars make a difference for current students. 

We still have a chance to unlock $3,000 if we reach 14 more donors by April 5. If you've already given, consider becoming an advocate by sharing the challenge to your social media. 

Thanks to the generosity of the Class of 1978 (who are Paying it Forward!), the Class of 2018 has an exciting opportunity to unlock gifts toward Financial Aid. From March 30-April 5, every donor and every dollar counts!

The "Crane or Shine" Challenge- in honor of the wonderful fixture that rose over campus during our last year on campus- will help increase our class participation and unlock gifts for Financial Aid. 

The impact of your gift will be increased thanks to a challenge pool funded by a generous Class of 1978 alum. If we get 20 donors and raise $2018 by the end of the challenge, our class will unlock $5018 toward Financial Aid!

So please contribute during this challenge- with a gift to the Annual Fund and your favorite memory of The Crane. And don't forget to register for Reunion so you can see what the crane helped build!
