The Alma Mater Fund of The Campaign for Girls

This campaign ended on July 01, 2019, but you can still make a gift to Burke's by clicking here!

"Let courage be undaunted, have the will to persevere. We pray that we may strengthen our alma mater dear." - Katherine Delmar Burke School Song

Together, we can make this happen.

Many Voices. Many Hands. All Burke’s.

Your investment will benefit generations of Burke’s girls.

There are many fine schools — public and independent — in the United States, but Burke’s stands out as a place that uniquely combines academic rigor and joy. We are also privileged to live and learn in one of the world’s most fertile and innovative regions. From arts and culture to technology, from the multicultural richness of San Francisco to the wildly imaginative “problem/solution” orientation of Silicon Valley —Burke’s girls benefit from our location and an infectious willingness to try new things. It is our responsibility to meet them where they are and to prepare them for a future that will be challenging and unpredictable.

As you know as alumnae, students at Burke’s have long benefited from the generosity of the generations that came before them. Now it is your turn to look ahead and create a school that is transformative for current and future generations of Burke’s girls.

The best institutions refuse to stand still. With your support, our great school will become the model institution for K-8 girls’ education in this country. As our campaign name suggests, we embark on this great adventure together.

With the campaign striving to raise the last million of its $20-million goal, The Alma Mater Fund of The Campaign for Girls, with its $500,000 goal, gives alumnae the opportunity to strengthen Burke's — and its future — in a meaningful way. This month-long initiative is one component of our overall efforts to fulfill the goals of The Alma Mater Fund, including its primary aim to engage as many alumnae as possible, each at a level meaningful to her.

Help us reach our goal of 111 donors by May 31 to celebrate Burke's 111th year!
