Internship Access Campaign

This campaign ended on April 10, 2018, but you can still make a gift to Brandeis University by clicking here!

At Brandeis, we strive to meet the needs of all of our students, regardless of identity or circumstance. One place we would like to make a significant difference is in the ability of our students to financially access meaningful summer internships. Internships are crucial to gaining real-world experience that leads to successful employment after graduation. Unfortunately, many internships are unpaid.

The Brandeis “World of Work” Internship Funding Program (WOW), managed by the Hiatt Career Center, is designed to provide stipends to students who need to earn money in the summer and would likely not be able to undertake an unpaid internship. By reducing financial barriers, Brandeis undergraduates have greater freedom to explore potential career fields, gain new skills, and experience the world of work.

Since its inception in 2008, WOW has evolved into a highly sought-after scholarship with a competitive application process. With limited funding each year, only a small pool of students are awarded funds to pursue their summer experiences.

We need your help to expand this vital program to meet the needs of our most vulnerable students, particularly those who come from modest economic circumstances, students who entered Brandeis under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), and those international students who have been impacted by the current administration’s travel bans.

Your gift in any amount will give Brandeis students a chance to explore without boundaries this coming summer, because it will directly fund meaningful, unpaid summer internships.

Here’s the best part: the math is really simple. For every $5,000 we raise in this campaign, another student will be able to pursue an internship opportunity this summer.

Thank you for supporting our Internship Access Campaign.
