December 2019 Senior Class Gift

This campaign ended on December 14, 2019, but you can still make a gift to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania by clicking here!

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! With all of the things on your "to do" list before the big day, don't forget to make your Senior Class Gift. This year, we are asking graduating seniors (that's you - congratulations) to sign up for a monthly gift of $5 as your Senior Class Gift. You can also make a one-time gift of at least $20.19.

You may not realize it, but a lot of the opportunities you had were available because alumni, parents and friends of the university cared enough to support your education. They funded scholarships, text books, professional experience grants, work spaces, research, and so much more.

HOW DOES THE SENIOR CLASS GIFT CAMPAIGN WORK?

Any senior graduating in December or over the winter who makes a gift of $20.19 or more will receive a maroon and gold Philanthropy Cord to wear during commencement. It's our way to say thank you for your commitment to #GiveBackBU and your way to show how passionate you are about supporting the Husky experience. Dr. Hanna will even recognize senior class gift donors during his commencement address. So make your gift, get the cord, and be recognized for changing a life.

WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO?

This year, we are asking seniors to donate to the Class of 2019 Scholarship, which was created this summer and awarded for the first time this semester to an incoming freshman.  As an added bonus, President Hanna has already matched student donations to fund the first 5 years of the scholarship.

HOW CAN I MAKE MY GIFT?

You can donate online anytime or visit one of the Senior Class Gift table events on campus. The first Table Days will be Tuesday, November 12 from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Student Services Center lobby. You'll receive an email when additional days are added. You can donate via cash, personal check, or credit/debit card at on campus events.

DOES MY $20.19 REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Yes, yes, yes! Every gifts matters. When we add your gift to those of your classmates, we should raise over $10,000 for the Class of 2019 Scholarship. Make a three year pledge and we can make your scholarship permanent and help even more students have the same great Husky experience you did.

WHERE DO I GET UPDATES?

Follow the Student Philanthropy Council on Twitter or Instagram @HuskiesGiveBack.

I MADE MY GIFT, HOW DO I GET MY PHILANTHROPY CORD?

If you make your senior class gift during an on-campus Table Day, you will receive your cord right there. If you make your gift online, you can stop by any of the on campus Table Days (there will be 3 or 4 leading up to graduation) or visit the Foundation offices on the 4th floor of the Greenly Center downtown any weekday.

I'M OUT OF TOWN FOR AN INTERNSHIP/CLINICAL WORK/STUDENT TEACHING. CAN I STILL BE PART OF THE SENIOR CLASS GIFT CAMPAIGN?

Absolutely! If you are finishing your coursework somewhere other than Bloomsburg, we will be happy to mail your Philanthropy Cord to you. Once you make your gift online, just send an email to sboucek@bloomufdn.org with the address where you would like your Philanthropy Cord mailed.
