For more than half a century, Bergendoff Hall has served as a catalyst for students to unleash passionate, expressive, and original artistic innovation. However, Bergendoff does not reflect the artistic excellence of Augustana’s music department. As the department grows and works to attract additional talented students, they are faced with the challenge of an aging building that does not offer the same advantages that other newer music halls do.
With your support, we can re-create Bergendoff—giving students greater opportunity to shape an artistic experience that is transformative for themselves and for the world.
Gifts to Bergendoff ensure that student musicians can learn and shape their talents in a building that parallels the caliber of Augustana’s music department.
How important is a building to the educational programs it houses? Take music education for example. In the new music education suite and dedicated classroom, professors and students can collaborate more easily without moving equipment to various classrooms. Also, with the completion of the Julie Hamann ‘82 Elliot Performance Hall, students will have the space to create transformative performances in an acoustically perfect environment.
Your gift to Bergendoff will get us one step closer to our goal. If we reach $10,000 during this challenge, the college will name a practice room in honor of Blue, Gold and Bold! Next time you're on campus you could be visiting the "2021 Blue, Gold and Bold Challenge" practice room!
We did it! Thanks to you, we hit our $10,000 goal! We'll name a practice room with a plaque that says "2021 Blue, Gold & Bold Challenge"!
But why stop there?!
If we hit $20,000, we'll change the named space to a faculty office!
Next time you're on campus you could be visiting with a faculty member in the "2021 Blue, Gold & Bold Challenge" faculty office!
We are getting closer to our original $10,000 goal! If we reach $10,000, we’ll name a practice room in honor of our Blue, Gold and Bold donors! If we reach $20,000, we’ll upgrade that named area to a faculty office!
