Augsburg Women Engaged (AWE) Alumni Council asks for your support to raise money for the two annual AWE scholarships awarded to deserving female identifying students. We believe supporting current women students, who are outstanding examples of what it means to be an Auggie, exemplifies our mission. Make your gift today!
We re-introduce one of our first AWE Scholars, Sydney, and our new AWE scholar this year, Ena! We remained thrilled with their success! They are wonderful examples of the bright, talented, young women supported through your generosity.
Our goal is to raise a total of $10,000. Reaching this goal ensures we can award these scholarships next year and into the future. If we surpass this goal, we can give scholarships at a higher level of support.
We challenge all Auggie's and friends to make a gift in support of our AWE Scholars! Living in uncertain and unprecedented times, we recognize our challenge is bold, but no matter the amount, your gift will make a difference in the lives of women who are wholeheartedly working towards becoming informed citizens, thoughtful stewards, critical thinkers, and responsible leaders—women who embody Augsburg’s mission.
As our scholarship grows, we will support more AWE Scholars---young women who show great academic promise and will be leaders, stewards, and changemakers in their communities. Thank you for your support of these incredible women!
Gratefully,
The AWE Council
Formed in 2009, the Augsburg Women Engaged (AWE) Philanthropy Council, strengthens a culture of philanthropy and engagement through connecting, learning, and giving opportunities for Augsburg women and friends, in order to make a difference in the lives of Augsburg students. AWE provides a platform to engage and connect women with their passion of supporting Augsburg, and particularly women's education and development.
Augsburg Women Engaged started the scholarship fund in 2018 to provide financial assistance, opportunity, and encouragement to female students. Awards will be distributed annually to female students from underrepresented populations who have demonstrated financial need and academic achievement. Awards will be given irrespective of the recipient's class, program, or degree-seeking status. It is understood that students from underrepresented populations include, but are not limited to: recent immigrants, undocumented students, first generation college students, students of color, and older students.
A generous anonymous donor has provided a dollar for dollar $2,500 match for the final day of our AWE Scholars Give to the Max Day fundraising drive! Making a gift of any amount will double your donation this final day. Please join us and help AWE reach their goal of raising $10,000 for the AWE Scholarship.
