The International House of Technology (IHOT) robotics team was founded at The Atlanta International School in 2004 and has competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) every year since. FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, and it was founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 's Woodie Flowers and Dean Kamen.
Our mission is to promote STEAM learning through robotics, support the IB MYP and DP programs, and inspire high school students to pursue further study and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and related fields. Through working in a socially and culturally diverse team alongside professional mentors, to solve complex problems in innovative ways. We achieve this through participation in the First Robotics Competition.
