November 28, 2023 is GivingTuesday, a day of generosity celebrated each year around the globe, and Allegheny College is participating once again! Join in with a gift supporting the Computer and Information Science Department Fund and help empower future innovators. Current computer science students have an incredible opportunity to gain real-world experience as they develop open-source software which will be made available as an online resource for teaching computer science to high school students.
It’s a classic win-win-win scenario:
✔️Students get hands-on experience that helps them grow important skill sets
✔️Allegheny-branded open-source software helps get the College’s name in front of prospective students
✔️Computer science education resources stir up curiosity about a really exciting field of learning
Please take advantage of the incredible dollar-for-dollar match — up to $7,500 — being sponsored by the members of Allegheny’s Technical Advisory Board (TAB). With your help, we can reach our goal of $15,000 to support 12 computer science students. Thank you!
