History:
The tradition of Men's Basketball runs deep at Allegany. Our rich history starts with our high character student-athletes that are willing to challenge themselves on and off the court. The effort put forth by our student-athletes has allowed them to excel in the gym and more importantly in life. Our approach to building young men into successful adults has led us to participate in 13 NJCAA National Tournaments, win 19 Region XX Titles, 25 MDJUCO Regular Season Championships, 18 MDJUCO Tournament Championships, produce 30 NJCAA All-Americans, over 100 NCAA DI transfers, numerous NCAA DII and DIII transfers, 4 NBA players (Steve Francis, John Turner, Eric Mobley, and Lewis Lattimore).
Vision:
The men’s basketball program looks to compete on the regional, district, and national levels; not only athletically, but in terms of recruitment, retention, graduation, and transfer. We strive to develop our student-athletes to be well-rounded individuals that represent our program, our College, our community, and themselves with the dignity, respect, and integrity they deserve.
The donations made will go towards scholarships, tournaments, travel, and equipment to provide the program with the necessary resources to develop each student-athlete to their fullest potential.
