Thank you so much for taking action to support our Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management! 

One of the greatest values of membership to the Gerstacker Institute is the opportunity to participate in experiential learning related to the business world. Networking, gaining hard skills while in an internship, and programming and activities to promote the use and development of soft skills are all opportunities provided to our students. 

The staff of the Gerstacker Institute would like to improve upon our offerings to students for professional development training, most specifically in the area of leadership. 

We have identified 3 programs that we would like to fund with your generosity.

• DiSC Assessment and Training ($2600)
  • The DiSC assessment is utilized to help students understand their and others communication style and behaviors which promotes improved efficiencies and collaborations. This assessment is completed during the first year leadership workshop.
• Student Leadership Competencies ($900)
  • Leadership competencies have been introduced to students during the first year leadership workshop. This program allows for greater curriculum development related to leadership, specific activities to help students practice and implement competencies and tools for staff to assess the development of our Gerstacker students.
• Courageous Dialogue ($1500)
  • We plan to utilize this training during summer school. This program provides a framework for students to learn how to respectfully lead and participate in difficult conversations.
