Why is YLS Giving Day different from any other day? We value your philanthropy all year long, but there are some special reasons to make your gift on Giving Day! Thanks to a few dedicated YLS donors, Giving Day will include one-time challenge gifts that make your contributions even more important.

What gifts count on Giving Day?   Gifts to any fund at Yale Law School count toward Giving Day totals. However challenges may require specific gift designations to meet the challenge goal.

How can I make a gift via my Donor Advised Fund or other giving vehicle? Just email us at ylsgivingday@yale.edu with the details and we"ll add the gift to the Giving Day site!

Is there a minimum gift amount?  Online gifts at Yale have a minimum amount of $5.00 due to system requirements.

Can I make my gift early and still be counted in Giving Day totals?   There will be a special early access giving period during Alumni Weekend, starting on October 18, 2024.  All gifts made over Alumni Weekend will be counted in Giving Day totals.

Will my monthly recurring gift be counted towards Giving Day? Due to the nature of Giving Day as short-term online giving event, previously scheduled recurring gifts will not count towards Giving Day totals.

Is my online payment secure?  All Giving Day payments are processed using our secure online giving platform. The information collected during Giving Day will only be used by Yale Law School.

I still have questions. How do I contact someone? Please contact us at ylsgivingday@yale.edu and we’ll respond to your question as soon possible.
