During the 2023-2024 academic year:

🎊 Men's lacrosse won the Peach Belt Conference Regular Season Championship and hosted the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed.

🎊 Thirteen of our sports participated in various conference tournaments.

🎊 Esports won the Peach Belt Conference Regular Season Championship for Rocket League and advanced to the conference tournament final.

🎊 Esports won the Peach Belt regular season championship for Rocket League.

🎊 Esports Rocket League team was the NECC Challengers Division Champion. 

🎊 Wrestling's Gabe Hixenbaugh won the NCAA Division II 133-LB National Championship and Super Region II Championship. He finished with a perfect 31-0 record and was named Super Region II Wrestler of the Year and NCAA Division II Wrestler of the Year.

🎊 Cycling's Shannon Himstedt won the 2023 SECCC Overall Mountain Bike Conference Championship.

🎊 Men's swimming featured its first conference champions in program history as Will Mahone won the 200-yard backstroke and Janek Barcyzk won the 100-yard breaststroke championship at the NCAA DII National Championship.

🎊 Men's indoor track and field's Caleb Kariuki won the GSC Conference Championship in long jump and triple jump.

🎊Women's indoor track and field's Nyla Shipman won the GSC Conference Championship in weight throw, becoming a national qualifier, while Emily Wolf won the GSC title in shotput.

🎊 Baseball's pitcher Logan Samuels was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2024 MLB draft, with the 251st pick in the eight round, the highest draft pick in program history.

🎊Outside of athletic achievements, the Falcons soared in the classroom with an overall department GPA of 3.36 for the academic year. 

🎊 Montevallo placed 318 student-athletes on the Gulf South Conference Honor Roll - the most in the league.

🎊 Vacca Hall has been renovated and is now the home to men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, wrestling and our newest sport.

We are excited to announce the addition of Acrobatics & Tumbling in the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
