What is St. Joe's Day of Giving? It is a giving event when all Marauders—alumni, students, families, and friends—come together to celebrate and give back to our school. 

When is St. Joe's Day of Giving? Our Day of Giving begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, and ends at 1:01 am on Friday, May 3. We will gladly accommodate gifts from alumni, parents, and friends all over the world who may fall outside that window.

Who can participate? Anyone! The more participants, the faster we release $18,061 to strengthen St. Joe's.

What counts toward St. Joe's Day of Giving? Any gift made between 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, and 1:01 am on Friday, May 3, or via our pre-Day of Giving communications will count toward our goal. Donor-advised funds and stocks are also accepted! Our priority is to raise support for The St. Joe's Fund, but you can boost any aspect of campus that is important to you.

Can I make my gift over the phone? Yes! If you would like to make a gift by phone, please call the Advancement Office at 716-270-4129.

Will my name and donation amount be visible on the campaign page? Your name will appear on the campaign page. No amounts are listed unless you offer a match. You can also choose to remain anonymous.

How can I help make the day a success? First and foremost, make your gift! You can also help by becoming an advocate here on GiveCampus and spreading the word with your friends, classmates, and fellow parents. 

Are there talking points I should use when communicating with my fellow Marauders? 

• Gifts to any designation (The St. Joe's Fund, Christian Brothers Endowment, Tuition Assistance, Athletics, Financial Aid, Faculty Support, Athletics, etc.) will count towards our goal of 1,861 donors. 
• Every donation—of any size—matters today! When we reach 1,861 donors, we will release a $18,061 challenge gift to boost St. Joe's and provide today's Marauders with an unbeaten experience! 
• Get your class to the top of the leaderboard! The class with the most donors will win a FREE private class party. Your class can choose from an extra event during Reunion Weekend in June, an event before or after the St. Joe's vs. Canisius Football Game in the fall, or an afterparty at the Buffalo Alumni Happy Hour in December.
• Look for special giveaways throughout the day! Make your gift on May 2 to score exclusive St. Joe's swag.  

Is my gift tax deductible? Yes. As with any charitable contribution to St. Joe's, your gift on St. Joe's Day of Giving is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor with any specific questions.

Who is eligible for the St. Joe's sock prize? The first 500 campaign donors are eligible for the sock incentive. 

Who is eligible to win the Marauder Golf Package? All campaign donors who make a gift of $100 or more by 1:01 am EST on May 3. The winner will be randomly selected and notified on Friday, May 3, by 5:00 pm (EST).

Who is eligible to win the Napoli's SJ Blazer? All campaign donors who make a gift of $500 or more by 1:01 am EST on May 3. The winner will be randomly selected and notified on Friday, May 3, by 5:00 pm (EST).

Who is eligible to win the Tuition Voucher? All campaign donors who are current parents of a St. Joe's student who make a gift of $25 or more by 1:01 am EST on May 3. The winner will be randomly selected and notified on Friday, May 3, by 5:00 pm (EST).

Who is eligible to win the "1861 Forever" sticker? All young alumni between the classes of 2009 and 2023 who make a gift of $18.61 or more by 1:01 am EST on May 3. The winner will be randomly selected and notified on Friday, May 3, by 5:00 pm (EST).

How do I claim my prize? The winner will be notified by email and given instructions on how to claim their prize. If a winning participant has not contacted St. Joe's within 28 days of notification to claim their prize, their right to the prize will be forfeited, and an alternative winner will be chosen.
