Note: These events are intended for current GVSU students. Faculty and staff may attend if they wish to join-in.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the world and looking for a career that aligns with your values? Discover how to turn your purpose into a profession in this free, virtual session. This workshop will help you:
Philanthropy isn’t all about donating money. Giving your time is just as valuable! Join University Development and the Sustainable Agriculture Project for a seed ball creation event in the Kirkhof Center Lobby. Stop by for a few minutes and make a seed ball to later be planted on the GVSU farm. All participants will receive GVSU swag as a thank you.
Sharpen your sleuthing skills and get ready for the Thanks a Bunch Scavenger Hunt! As part of Student Philanthropy Week, items will be hidden around the Allendale, Pew and Health campuses, with clues to their location being posted by @GVSU on Instagram. Those who find the items will have an opportunity to choose a student fund to receive a "cash" donation.
We’re putting our own Laker spin on the Cash Cab game show! University Development will be driving a golf cart around campus on Thursday, Sept. 26 and quizzing Lakers on their GVSU and philanthropic knowledge. Participants will have an opportunity to win cash to donate to one of the featured student organizations.
