WHAT IS GAELS GIVING DAY?
Gaels Giving Day is Iona University’s annual day of giving, a 24-hour event for the entire Iona community to come together and make a gift of any size to the designation of their choice.
Saturday, March 16 marks Iona’s annual Gaels Giving Day. This is our opportunity to show Gael pride and help ensure that future Gaels have the same opportunities that you did to receive a transformative education.
DOES MY GIFT COUNT TOWARD MY GIVING SOCIETY MEMBERSHIPS?
Yes. Your gift of any size on Gaels Giving Day will count toward your annual and lifetime giving totals as well as giving society memberships such as the President’s Circle.
WILL MY EMPLOYER MATCH MY GIFT?
Your gift may be eligible to be matched by your employer. Please contact us at alumni@iona.edu with any questions regarding matching gifts.
HOW CAN I MAKE MY GIFT?
Cash gifts can be made by check, credit card, or online. Checks should be made payable to Iona University and, to ensure that it is properly credited, should be accompanied by a letter outlining the purpose of the gift (please include your grad year when applicable).

IS THERE A MINIMUM GIFT AMOUNT?
The minimum Gaels Giving Day gift is $1.00. While the most common gift is $150 you can give the amount of your choice.
IS MY GIFT TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes, your gift to Iona University on Gaels Giving Day will be tax-deductible and you will receive a tax receipt via email.
