Recurring Gifts
Establishing a recurring gift to show your continued support is one way to make your gift go further. Donors who commit to providing monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring gifts become members of the Jacqueminot League.
Employer Matching Gifts
As a donor to the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation, you may be able to double or even triple the impact of your outright gifts if your employer or your spouse’s employer offers a matching gift program. In most cases, all you need to do is obtain a matching gift form from the personnel department, fill it out, and include it with your gift to the Foundation. We will do the rest.
Matching/Challenge Gifts
When you make your gift through the platform, you can choose to make it a Matching Gift or a Challenge Gift. A Matching Gift will match a dollar-for-dollar ratio of your choosing for gifts made through this site. You can choose to restrict the funds eligible for the match when setting it up. A Challenge Gift sets a certain goal to achieve in order to unlock the gift. This type of gift can also be restricted to select funds.
How your gift will support the Brotherhood depends on where you designate your gift to go. Below is an explanation of the different types of funds you could support. Chapter-specific funds differ from chapter to chapter. If you have additional questions, please reach out to a staff member using the contact information at the bottom of the FAQ.
Phi Psi Fund
The Phi Psi Fund is the most versatile fund managed by the Foundation. The monies designated here can support the organization and its members where they are needed most. A large portion of the donations raised to this fund go to support Phi Psi Leadership Programming and Phi Psi Scholarships.
Chapter OneFunds
These are specific funds created to allow alumni and friends of a chapter to maximize charitable giving opportunities that benefit undergraduates. Grants from OneFunds are restricted to a specific chapter and can be used to fund academic or need-based scholarships, character and leadership development programs, alcohol abuse prevention programs, and oftentimes specific operating expenses incurred by the House Corporations that operate and manage chapter facilities.
Chapter Scholarship Funds
These funds support academic achievement through locally tailored scholarships and are restricted to their specific chapter. Once fully funded, the Chapter Scholarship Fund will award annual scholarships to qualified undergraduates from your chapter each year. CSFs can vary from chapter to chapter and from one year to the next.
Chapter Housing Funds
These funds support chapter houses and the management thereof. The use of these funds is restricted to the chapters they benefit. The House Corporation and Chapter can then request grants from those funds to benefit the chapter. The grants take two forms–construction grants and operating grants.
Phi Kappa Psi Foundation (EIN 36-6130655) is a charitable and educational 501(c)(3) organization classified by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible in the United States as allowed by law.
