Can I make a gift by check or wire transfer?

Yes! Checks may be mailed to The Winston School of Short Hills, 30 East Lane, Short Hills, NJ 07078. Cash donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. If you would like to make a gift by wire transfer, please contact Amanda Feeman at afeeman@winstonschool.org for additional details. 

All donations date by November 30 will be counted towards One Day for Winston. 

Does The Winston School accept matching gifts?

Yes! Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your donation. Check with your employer to see if your gift is eligible. Don't leave match dollars on the table put them to work Winston. 

Can I give through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?

Yes! You can recommend a grant from your Donor-Advised Fund by instructing your fund administrator to designate The Winston School of Short Hills as the recipient.

Can I donate stocks or other securities?

Yes! Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, or other securities are welcome. Donating appreciated securities may offer tax advantages, including potential capital gains tax savings. In most instances, you can take a tax deduction for the full market value of the gift and avoid any capital gains tax.

If your stock is held with a broker, please notify the broker that you wish to make a gift of securities to The Winston School of Short Hills Your broker will require written authorization from you before they can make the transfer. In the letter of authorization to your broker please include the name of the stock that you wish to transfer, the number of shares, and that you would like your gift designated to the Winston Annual Fund.

Can I make a gift directly from my IRA?

Yes! If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA. These gifts may offer federal tax benefits. Please consult your tax advisor regarding eligibility and New Jersey tax treatment.

Can I include The Winston School in my estate plans?

Absolutely! Planned gifts, including bequests, real estate, and life insurance, are a meaningful way to support Winston's future. Our Advancement Office would be happy to discuss your options.
