The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) hosts ChemE Car competitions regionally every April for the Southeast US. This past year Georgia Tech hosted the competition and those who place top 5 at regionals can then compete at the national conference the following fall. Last April, our first ChemE car team placed 3rd, gaining the opportunity to go to Minneapolis, MN for the Annual AIChE Conference to compete nationally and beating teams like Clemson, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and NC State.
