What is the Loma Fund, and why should I give to it?

• The Loma Fund is PLNU’s unrestricted fund — meaning it supports the areas of greatest need across campus. Your gift helps provide student scholarships, maintain our beautiful campus, and keep essential programs running. When you give during Green4Gold, you’re helping the whole university thrive — and your gift counts toward unlocking Matches and Challenges!

What are Matches and Challenges?

• Matching Gifts double your impact! When a generous donor offers to match every dollar you give during a specific timeframe, your gift goes twice as far. Example: Sally Alumna, Class of 1970, will give a dollar for every dollar donated by alumni — up to $25,000!
• Challenge Gifts are unlocked when we reach a goal — either a certain number of donors or a dollar amount.

Can I participate in more than one Match or Challenge?

• Yes! The more you give (or encourage others to give), the more Matches and Challenges we unlock together.

Do I have to make a gift online?

• We encourage giving online so your gift is added to the Green4Gold totals in real time. But if you’d prefer, you can mail your gift in advance, and it will still count toward the event totals.
