Ice cream, anyone? Head to the Kirkhof Center Lobby on Monday, October 9 from 12-2 p.m. to grab free ice cream, learn more about philanthropy, and network with alumni, philanthropy professionals, and student leaders.

Listen to an engaging panel discussion presented by GVSU University Development, the Career Center, and the Master of Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership (MPNL) program. Panelists will cover the value of pursuing a nonprofit career, internship pathways, and guidance for advancing within these fields.
Philanthropy isn’t all about donating money. Giving your time is just as valuable! Join University Development and GVSU Groundskeeping on Tuesday, October 10 for a campus clean-up along the Ravines to help keep our campus beautiful! Check-in will be at Kleiner Commons, where volunteers will get their gloves, trash bag and map. All participants will receive GVSU swag as a thank you.
In celebration of Student Philanthropy Week, we’re putting our own Laker spin on the Cash Cab game show! University Development will be driving a golf cart around campus on Wednesday, October 11 and quizzing Lakers on their GVSU philanthropy knowledge. Participants will have an opportunity to win cash to donate to one of the featured student organizations.
Sharpen your sleuthing skills and get ready for the Thanks a Bunch Scavenger Hunt! As part of Student Philanthropy Week, five items will be hidden around the Allendale Campus, with clues to their location being posted by @GVSU on Instagram. Those who find the items will win cash to donate to one of the featured student organizations.
Stop by the Kirkhof Center on Friday, October 13 from 1-3 p.m. for the Laker Photo Collage Challenge. For a $5 donation, Lakers will take a Polaroid selfie which will be a small but important part of a large GVSU mural. When we all come together as a community, we can do big things! All proceeds will benefit the featured student organizations.
