What is the Marist Fund?
The Marist Fund is Marist College’s annual giving program. Annual contributions to the Marist Fund help ensure the College’s financial stability year after year. As an unrestricted fund, the Marist Fund supports a variety of different programs and initiatives throughout that bolster the student experience. Gifts to the Marist Fund go to support the areas below (and so much more!)
Marist Fund Designations:
Area of Greatest Need: Gifts in this area provide unrestricted support that allows Marist flexibility in addressing the most pressing and critical needs of the College. These gifts make an immediate impact and help to keep campus thriving.
Scholarship and Financial Aid: Gifts in this area provides much-needed resources to ensure that a Marist education remains accessible to all students.
Student Success: Gifts in this area support current students’ Marist experience from the classroom to their travels abroad. These funds allow for research, curriculum enhancements, study abroad, internship opportunities, and more.
Why should you give?
Do you love Marist and the incredible experiences you've had during your time here? Your gift to the College begins working right away through the Marist Fund, supporting internships, scholarships and financial aid, faculty research, student life, athletics, and many other important aspects of the Marist experience and community. The truth is that these opportunities would not be possible without the support of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends.
What about tuition?
Many of us don't realize that tuition doesn't cover all of the Marist experience. Tuition and fees only support a portion of the educational costs, counting for about two-thirds of the cost of a college education.
When you look at the big picture, you'll find that a lot of things that make Marist great—the stellar academics, the student resources, the top-ranked athletics, and the service programs—are only possible through the generous support of our alumni, parent, and community donors.
How will your gift make a difference?
Without a doubt, student and alumni participation in annual giving is a valuable measure of Red Fox pride and satisfaction. The more alumni who give to Marist, the stronger Marist is.
Collectively, small gifts make a BIG impact. The greater the number of alumni who donate, the more valuable your degree is, and the better the Marist experience for future Red Foxes.
What is our goal?
Our goal for Senior Class Legacy is not necessarily to raise a specific dollar amount, but rather to encourage as many seniors to participate as possible.
How much should you give?
The Senior Class Legacy Committee encourages you to make a gift that is meaningful to you. We recommend a gift of $20.24 to honor your senior class. But whether you choose to give in honor of your class year or the $5 you were going to spend on coffee this week -- you can make a difference.
