What are the College Excellence Funds?
The College Excellence Funds at UNCW provide essential, flexible support to meet the evolving needs of UNCW’s academic colleges, benefiting our students, faculty and educational programs. Directed by the dean, these unrestricted funds expand scholarship opportunities, enhance critical resources, support faculty recruitment and retention, enable new opportunities and ensure the flexibility to address unexpected challenges. Contributions to the College Excellence Funds immediately impact today’s students and contribute to the long-term academic excellence in each college.
What are Hawk Blocks?
Hawk Blocks are a custom brick-built version of Sammy C. Hawk. Designed with 140 interlocking pieces, it’s a fun, collectible way to show your Seahawks spirit.
Can I receive more than one Hawk Blocks set?
To receive more than one UNCW Hawk Blocks set, please make multiple gifts of $50 or more to UNCW's College Excellence Funds through this campaign page.
Is there a deadline to make a gift to receive a Hawk Blocks set?
This campaign ends June 14. Gifts must be submitted through this page, and only this page, by that date in order to qualify for an exclusive UNCW Hawk Blocks.
When will my Hawk Blocks arrive?
Please allow for 2 weeks from the end of the campaign for delivery.
Will gifts made in other ways qualify for the Excellence in Flight Hawk Blocks promotion?
Gifts must be submitted through this campaign webpage by June 14 in order to receive a UNCW Hawk Blocks set.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected through this site will be used only by UNCW. You can also use your mobile wallet, Venmo, PayPal, and Google Pay, to complete your donation.
Can I support multiple excellence funds?
Yes! Please keep in mind that your level of support over multiple excellence funds must reach or exceed $50 in order to qualify for the exclusive Excellence in Flight Hawk Blocks.
Will my gift be tax-deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax-deductible, and a receipt for tax purposes will be emailed as soon as the transaction is completed. However, if you elect to receive a UNCW Hawk Blocks set, please note that a portion of your gift associated with the fair market value of the UNCW Hawk Blocks will not be tax-deductible. Can I make a recurring gift through the Excellence in Flight campaign?
No, all gifts made through this campaign will be processed as one-time gifts. However, you can always set up a recurring gift to support the College Excellence Funds at any time through this form.
Can I support another area on campus?
Yes! However, this campaign focuses on supporting our academic colleges' excellence funds as well as the UNCW Fund. You can make a gift to another area on campus through this form.
Can I donate goods or services?
