What is St. Joe's Day of Giving? It’s a giving event when all Marauders — alumni, students, families, and friends — come together to celebrate and give back to our school. 

When is St. Joe's Day of Giving? Our Day of Giving begins at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 29, and ends at 10:01 pm on Thursday, April 30. We will gladly accommodate gifts from alumni, parents, and friends all over the world who may fall outside that window.

Who can participate? Anyone! The more participants we have, the quicker we can unlock our Marauder Challenge dollars to support St. Joe's.

What counts toward St. Joe's Day of Giving? Any gift made between 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 29, and 10:01 pm on Thursday, April 30, or via our pre-Day of Giving communications will count toward our goal. Donor-advised funds and stocks are also accepted! Our priority is to raise support for The St. Joe's Fund, but you can support any aspect of campus or endowed fund that is important to you.

Can I make my gift over the phone? Yes! If you would like to make a gift by phone, please call the Advancement Office at 716-270-4110. 

What is our St. Joe's Day of Giving goal? In honor of our founding year, St. Joe's has set a goal of securing 1,861 donors once again. 

Will my name and donation amount be visible on the campaign page? Your name will appear on the campaign page. No amounts are listed unless you create a match or challenge. You can also choose to remain anonymous.

How can I help make the day a success? First and foremost, make your gift! You can also help by becoming an advocate on GiveCampus and spreading the word with your friends, classmates, and fellow parents. 

How do I encourage my classmates, fellow parents, and friends to participate? Sign up to become an advocate or create a matching gift. You can also use our toolkit to share this campaign on social media. Your messages will help unite our community, so please spread the word!

Are there talking points I should use when communicating with my fellow Marauders? 

• Gifts to any designation — The St. Joe’s Fund, Christian Brothers Endowment, Tuition Assistance, Athletics, and more — all count toward our goal of 1,861 donors.

• Every gift matters. When we reach 1,861 donors, we will unlock an additional $18,610 challenge gift to support today’s Marauders.

• Make your gift early and watch for special giveaways throughout the day — exclusive St. Joe’s swag is up for grabs!

Is my gift tax-deductible? Yes. As with any charitable contribution to St. Joe's, your gift on St. Joe's Day of Giving is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor with any specific questions.
