What is Friars Give?

Friars Give is Providence College’s annual day of giving — a celebration of community, Friar pride, and the power of philanthropy. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Friars Give, a milestone that reflects a decade of Friars coming together to make a lasting impact.

On this special day, alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends unite to support what matters most — whether through The Fund for Providence College or the program or area of campus that means the most to you.

During Friars Give, your generosity honors the past and fuels the future — providing the resources needed to enhance the student experience and strengthen Providence College for years to come. With a series of challenges throughout the day, every gift can go even further, inspiring others and increasing impact.

Can anyone participate in Friars Give?

Absolutely! Anyone can participate — students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, families, and friends. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.

How can I participate?

Make your gift anytime leading up to and on April 9 to be part of Friars Give.

Your support helps provide opportunities for today’s students while strengthening the future of Providence College. It’s a powerful way to show your Friar pride and be part of this community-wide effort.

After making your gift, you can amplify your impact by encouraging others to join you — share your support, spread the word, and help build momentum throughout the day.

Where can I make a gift?

Online: Click “Give Now” to make your gift using PayPal, Venmo, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or a credit card. Phone: Call 401.865.2414 Mail: You may use the prepaid envelope included in your Friars Give mailing. Please note that online or phone gifts are the best way to ensure your gift counts toward the day’s challenges.

If I give twice, will that be counted twice toward the goal?

We appreciate your enthusiasm! Yes — each gift made through the Friars Give platform, the Friars Give mailing, or on April 9 will count and help increase participation totals and challenge progress.

Will my gift count toward my class giving goal for Reunion?

Yes! Your Friars Give gift will also count toward your class giving total for Reunion.

I have already given to PC this year. Does that count?

Thank you for your generosity — it truly makes a difference. To be part of Friars Give, we encourage you to make an additional gift during the campaign. Gifts of any size help build momentum and support current students.

Will my Friars Give contribution be tax-deductible?

Yes. Your gift is tax-deductible. If you give online, you will receive an email confirmation for your records. Gifts made outside the platform will be receipted by mail.

Where did my 2025 Friars Give gift go?

Thanks to the generosity of over 3,000 donors on Friars Give 2025, more than $3.8 million was raised to support students through The Fund for Providence College and other key areas across campus.

These gifts went to work immediately — enhancing academic programs, expanding access to financial aid, supporting student wellness, and strengthening the overall student experience.
