What is Texas Tech Day of Giving?

Texas Tech Day of Giving is a 1,923-minute fundraising campaign in support of Texas Tech University. During this time, all Red Raiders are encouraged to #RallyTogether and give to the programs and priorities that are most meaningful to them. Whether you can give $5 or $500, your involvement makes a difference.

Why Give?

Every dollar and supporter counts on Day of Giving! Your gift allows Red Raiders to access and provide opportunities in the coming academic year. Philanthropy is an integral part of the success that happens every day at Texas Tech University. Through scholarships for students who need financial assistance or by providing opportunities for students to thrive, the collective support through Texas Tech Day of Giving helps fund time-sensitive needs and impacts Red Raiders over the next academic year and beyond.

If a gift isn't an option at this time, your support through sharing about Day of Giving on your social media accounts spreads awareness of these projects. However you give on this day, we encourage you to rally and share your support!

Can I only give to featured projects on Day of Giving?

It is up to you! You may designate your gift to any area of the university whether a specific project, college, or program. On August 15-16, Texas Tech Day of Giving donors are encouraged to give to any fund they are passionate about at Texas Tech. All gifts will count towards the Texas Tech Day of Giving goal!

If you’re unsure of what area you’d like to support, please consider a gift to the Texas Tech General Scholarship Fund. The general scholarship fund is awarded throughout each academic year and is available to new and current students.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. The Texas Tech Foundation receives gifts made through Texas Tech Day of Giving. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that ensures all donations made to Texas Tech University benefit the institution as intended.
