What is 1799 Day?
1799 Day is Westtown School’s annual day of giving. It is a 24-hour fundraising initiative that brings alums, faculty, staff, students, families, and friends together in support of student success. All gifts are made to the Westtown Fund and can be designated to the area that means the most to you.

What is a match or challenge?
Matches and challenges are clever ways to leverage your gift and encourage others to give. Offering a Match means that you’ll give a number of dollars for every dollar or donor that the campaign receives up to your specified maximum gift amount. Offering a Challenge means that you’ll give a gift if the campaign receives a certain number of donors or dollars.
Consider raising the stakes by creating a match or challenge by your class year, gifts to a specific area or to a list of your friends (by email address). To create your match or challenge, select the ‘Offer a Match’ or ‘Offer a Challenge’ button at the top of the page.
How do I designate my gift to a particular purpose?
There are nine gift designations within the Westtown Fund. Give to the area that is most meaningful to you:
Will my contributions be tax-deductible? Yes, your gift to Westtown is tax-deductible. If you give online, you will receive an email confirmation that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes. If you give through the mail or over the phone, look for our gift receipt in the mail.
