Anyone and everyone! Founder’s Day for Scholars is a community effort to raise financial aid resources at Sidwell Friends.

I made a gift earlier this year. Will that count?

Thank you for supporting Sidwell Friends this year! If you made an early gift designated to Founder’s Day for Scholars/financial aid, we are thrilled to have counted it toward this fundraising goal.

Can I make a gift with stocks or securities for Founder’s Day for Scholars?

Yes! Please call us at 202-537-8126, or email shine@sidwell.edu, to let us know, so we can count your gift; be sure to mention “Founder’s Day for Scholars.” If you need assistance with making a gift, please review our Ways to Give webpage with helpful information such as how to transfer a gift of stock, make a credit card donation, and where to mail a check.

Can I make a gift through a donor-advised fund?

Yes! Charitable donations can be made through a donor-advised fund. To make a distribution to Sidwell Friends, please contact your financial institution and include “Founder’s Day for Scholars” as your gift designation. We’d be grateful if you let us know in advance by emailing shine@sidwell.edu, so we can count on your support.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. As with any charitable contribution to Sidwell Friends School, your gift for Founder's Day for Scholars is tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor with any specific questions. Please note, if you purchased a ticket to the in-person event, that amount is not tax deductible.
