During this one-hour challenge, two donors will be randomly selected—one who gives to an academic fund and one who gives to an athletic fund. Each selected donor’s chosen fund will receive an additional $5,000, creating the opportunity to unlock $10,000 in bonus support for Northern students.

These additional gifts are made possible thanks to the generosity of two donors and NMU Foundation trustees:

• Jesse Bell '00 BS, who is providing the $5,000 gift for academics
• Lisa Mueller '80 BS, who is providing the $5,000 gift for athletics

For example, if a donor contributes to the Biology program during the hour and is selected, that fund would receive an additional $5,000. Similarly, a donor supporting an NMU athletic program during Power Hour could help secure the same boost for their team.
