What is #GivingDayUMGC?
The ninth-annual UMGC Giving Day is Wednesday, April 29, 2026  and is dedicated to uniting the UMGC community to provide financial support to UMGC students helping them to achieve their education goals.

Will gifts that are made before April, 29, 2026, count towards #GivingDayUMGC?
Yes. UMGC Giving Day includes an early giving phase, which runs from April 1 - April 28, 2026. Gifts received through UMGC's Annual Giving Program, website, and social media during this time are included in UMGC Giving Day totals.

How can I donate?
Donating is easy. Make a gift using the "Give Now" button between now and 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 29, 2026. You can also give by phone by calling 301-985-7110. Contact us toll free at 855-655-8682, ext. 17110.

Is there a minimum donation?
Yes, there is a $10 gift minimum for Giving Day. 

Do I have to designate my gift towards a specific fund or designation?  
No. All gifts, regardless of designation, will be accepted and counted in the #GivingDayUMGC totals.

Are there tax benefits to making a gift on Giving Day?
Funds for the UMGC Foundation are administered by the University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. You will receive a tax receipt for your donation.
