Fairmont State University Day of Giving is a 24-hour opportunity for the entire Falcon community to come together with one shared purpose. On February 26, alumni and friends unite as One Fairmont State to support our students and the programs that help them succeed. It’s one powerful day where collective generosity creates lasting impact.

Q. Why should I give on Fairmont State Day of Giving?
ay of Giving is more than a fundraising event – it’s a shared commitment to Fairmont State and the students who call it home. Every gift, no matter the size, fuels scholarships, academic innovation, and meaningful campus experiences that shape tomorrow’s leaders.
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum donation I can make on Fairmont State Day of Giving?
Yes, there is a $5 minimum donation.
Q. Can I participate in #FalconsGive2026 if I did not graduate from Fairmont State?
Yes! Students, parents, faculty/staff, and friends are encouraged to support the university on the Fairmont State Day of Giving. When prompted in the giving form, you select the role you most closely affiliate with. The gifts of many come together to support the transformational Fairmont State experience for every student in a big way.
Q. Can I direct my gift?
You can direct your gift to the area of Fairmont State University you care about most - providing scholarships, supporting your college/program, athletics, and more!
Q. Is my payment secure?
Absolutely – Fairmont State Day of Giving is facilitated by Give Campus, a company who has partnered with Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent level of certification possible) to process all gifts made through falconsgive.org. Read through Stripe's security documentation online.
Q. Can I send a gift by mail or phone?
Yes. However, due to the tight period of Fairmont State Day of Giving, only gifts made online, by phone or in response to Falcon Day of Giving mailings count toward overall totals and competitions. If you would like to make a gift by phone on February 26, 2026, please call (304) 534-8786.
Q. Is my Falcon Day of Giving contribution tax deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax deductible at the highest limits allowed for federal income or estate tax purposes. You will receive an email confirmation that may serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
Q. Will my Fairmont State Day of Giving gift – if made in advance of 2.26.26 – help populate the leaderboards?
Yes! Gifts made in advance of the Day of Giving through early giving on falconsgive.org (and in response to Day of Giving mailings) will be displayed on the leaderboard when it goes live at 12:00 a.m. on February 26, 2026.
