Connections - the idea that the EVVYs serve to connect the Emerson Community with each other and with the rest of the world. For 45 years the EVVYs have been an institutional tradition for all Emersonians - a place to work in a challenging production environment, an opportunity for alumni to watch the project continue, and a way to uplift and recognize students’ creative achievement on campus and in the greater community. EVVY45 seeks to recognize and uplift that - a cherished tradition that has sparked thousands of connections through the years.

Connections can be seen in the aesthetic and content of the show as well - through alumni involvement and peer-to-peer connections we will work to build and strengthen the existing community around the EVVYs. In the branding and look of the show, the primarily line-based design system will enhance the feeling of connection, with everything being as integrated together as possible in graphics, marketing, and other elements. We will also be recognizing Connections as something of a mantra throughout the year, empowering team members to be as creative, curious, and bold as possible in every way. Together, we will make EVVY45 the best it can be.
